In the period May 27-29, 2024 Varna Regional Museum of History hosted an expert meeting as part of the Codes of Cultural Heritage Project, financed under the Erasmus + Program.
During the meeting, the platform CCH Hubs (https://cch-hubs.com/) developed within the project was presented. The platform aims to support teachers and museum workers from all over the world in teaching cultural and historical heritage in an attractive, interactive and innovative way. The platform gives access to ten hubs, where numerous lesson plans, created with the expertise of the project partners, are thematically published.
In addition to the platform, a printed edition of some of the lesson plans was also presented.
During the partnership meeting, the project participants had the opportunity to learn about the cultural and historical heritage of Varna and Bulgaria. They made guided tours of the Varna Archaeological Museum and the city of Nessebar – one of the sites in the list of UNESCO in Bulgaria.
The specialists from Varna Regional Museum of History also organized a workshop, during which the partners from Romania, Turkey, Italy, Portugal and Belgium learned about the history of the Slavic alphabet, the way of writing in Cyrillic and the history of the May 24 Holiday. The participants also visited the Revival Period Museum, where they had the opportunity to see a classroom from the 19th century and learn interesting facts about the education in the Bulgarian lands during that period.
The next Codes of Cultural Heritage project meeting will be held in September in Istanbul, Turkey.
